Overview

The APP conference is an organized, one day event where advance practice providers come together to exchange knowledge, present new evidence-based practice guidelines and engage in educational sessions that will discuss the latest developments in healthcare trends.

Attendees will receive access to an online syllabus the day of the course, which includes select PDFs of presentations (slides).


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify updates in clinical training and guidelines for the care of patients.
  2. Identify opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with the goal of improving clinical management of those patients being treated by other specialties.
  3. Appraise current and future challenges faced by healthcare professionals.
  4. Manage the disparities and inequities in the delivery of health care of our patients.
  5. Apply evidence-based practice guidelines for care management.

This is event is full. 

The APP Council will host a welcome event with a cocktail reception and light hors d' oeuvres on Thursday, May 9th from 6:00 – 9:00pm, at the Hilton Sky Terrace.  Seating is limited, so registration is required to attend.

All attendees who register before April 5, 2024, will receive a Sentara microfleece jacket to be picked up at the registration table during check-in.  You will have the option to choose your size during the registration process.

Please note, if you register after April 5, 2024, you will not be guaranteed a microfleece jacket in the requested size the day of the conference.

Day of Information

Lunch will consist of a buffet of pre-made sandwiches, soup, pasta salad, dessert, coffee, and iced tea. Please provide us with any specific dietary needs during the registration process.

As the hotel conference rooms may be cold, we suggest bringing a wrap or a light jacket.

A private lactation room will be available upon request.
