Overview

The APP conference is an organized, two-day event where Advanced Practice Providers come together to exchange knowledge, present new evidence-based practice guidelines and engage in educational sessions that will discuss the latest developments in healthcare trends.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify updates in clinical training and clinical guidelines in patient care.
  2. Determine clinical practices uniquely applicable to special patient populations
  3. Identify key components in delivering patient education
  4. Utilize evidence based medicine in treatment decisions
  5. Recognize the changing healthcare landscape, future challenges and opportunities.

Meet and Greet

The APP Council will host a meet and greet with a cocktail reception and light hors d' oeuvres on Thursday, April 30th from 5:00PM – 6:30PM in the Peacock Foyer. 

Poster Presentation

Have you been involved in innovative clinical practice models, quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice changes, APP-led initiatives, population health programs, or any other clinical, performance, or research-based project and would like to share your work?

This year we are inviting the first 10 interested APPs to showcase their work through a clinical, practice, or research poster presentation at our Sentara APP Conference. Poster presenters will have the opportunity to discuss their work with attendees during the Welcome Event on Day 1, and posters will remain on display throughout Day 2 for continued viewing and engagement.

This is a non-CME portion of the conference; therefore, no CME credit will be awarded for the poster participation.

They'll be option during the registration process to let us know if you're  interested in participating.

Day of information

As the hotel conference rooms may be cold, we suggest bringing a wrap or a light jacket.



A private lactation room will be available upon request.

We are pleased to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences and needs. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu items will be available, and all dishes will be clearly labeled to indicate common allergens.
