Overview
Sentara Community Care providers adult and pediatric care to underserved populations. Our monthly Provider session brings specialists and other experts to present clinical updates and reviews on topics pertinent to primary care - both adult and pediatric. We also review professional responsibilities and leadership topics. The majority of the time (45-50 min) is for clinical lecture and questions.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify common problems encountered in child well visits
  2. Demonstrate specialty conditions in our pediatric patient population along with best practices for treatment and referrals
  3. Demonstrate specialty conditions in our adult patient population along with best practices for treatment and referrals
  4. Examine quality metric data and discuss process improvement programs to improve outcomes.
  5. Evaluate patient experience data and discuss process improvement programs to improve outcomes.

Accreditation
Sentara is accredited by the Southern States CME Collaborative to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Physicians: Sentara designates this for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Attendance for 1.00 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of attendance for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organization accredited by the Southern States CME Collaborative, an ACCME Recognized Accreditor.
