2025 Sentara Cardiac Grand Rounds

Cardiology Grand Rounds is designed to provide cardiologists, cardiology support team, and ancillary staff detailed exposure to 1) emerging concepts in the management and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, 2) initiatives at a state and national level to improve inpatient and outpatient outcomes in patients with cardiovascular disease, 3) knowledge to fill practice gaps identified in the division of cardiovascular medicine during our meetings, and 4) basic and translational research that may affect the practice of cardiovascular medicine in the near future.

1. Summarize updates in diagnosis, treatment and research for various medical conditions.
2. Incorporate current guidelines with new clinical evidence to develop an appropriate management plan for patients with cardiovascular disease.
3. Identify high risk patients who may need additional care/evaluation and initiate improvements to optimize patient care.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), ABIM MOC Part 2 (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.00 hours)

Physicians: Sentara designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Attendance for 1.00 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of attendance for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organization accredited by the Southern States CME Collaborative, an ACCME Recognized Accreditor.
