Overview
In alignment with Sentara Quality Care Network (SQCN) mission statement, the SQCN community of providers work toward the shared goal of improved health outcomes, reduced healthcare costs, and an improved patient experience for their patients and teams. This activity will introduce and reinforce providers knowledge and techniques enabling them to provide higher quality patient care and teach strategies to deliver improved outcomes. This activity looks to provide new and emerging health care needs, new diagnostic and treatment methods, and insight into the evolving world of healthcare from a variety of perspectives. This activity allows providers educational opportunities to meet the changing demands of patients, remain up to date in their clinical practice, and educate beyond clinical care education to address factors affecting the health of populations.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe evidence-based practices to manage the identified topic of focus.
  2. Define the specific focus topic and how options for improvement in care are attained.
  3. Implement and educate staff on tools and techniques to improve outcomes related to the specific focus topic.

Sentara is accredited by the Southern States CME Collaborative to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
