HM APP Training - Chest Xray Interpretation

Sentara Hospital Medicine module-based curriculum is provided to all Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as a means for continued education, onboarding knowledge enhancements, and to improve confidence and professional performance at the bedside, as we care for our complex patient populations. The curriculum includes clinical and some non-clinical topics specific to hospital medicine that assist our APPs in diagnosing, treatment and management, and professional knowledge expansion to be successful in their provider roles.

1. Explain the DRS ABCDE method for chest xray interpretation.
2. Describe the anatomy of a chest xray.
3. Describe what makes a chest xray RIPE.
4. Be able to identify pneumonia and the most likely pathogen.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.00 hours)
