Overview

Welcome to the HCC Coding Series: Cardiology Conditions.  This course will cover the following Cardiovascular HCC Topics: Hypertensive heart disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Angina, Atherosclerotic heart disease, Cardiomyopathies and Arrhythmias. 

To claim credit for the HCC Coding Cardiology Conditions Module: 

  1. View the HCC Cardiology Conditions Module by clicking on the Access Meeting/Content button above and signing into Sentara Workday.
  2.  Upon the successful completion of the end of module quiz, you will be provided with an activity ID number to claim credit.
  3.  After claiming credit, go to the MY CME tab to complete an evaluation.
  4.  Credit hours will be reflected on your transcript, or you may download your certificate. 

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Select specific HCC codes to better reflect the care being provided by the patient.
  2. Increase the ability to support HCC codes with accurate and sufficient documentation
  3. Apply the learned information regarding the specific codes and necessary documentation to obtain the maximum compensation and meet system-level goals.
